Cornell aims to make Internet history with virtual choir

David Anderson

A still from the video David Anderson '96 contributed to the Cornell Global Choir.

Can you sing, more or less? If so, consider adding your voice -- and your rendition of the alma mater -- to the Cornell Global Choir, a growing virtual chorus.

In celebration of its Sesquicentennial, Cornell is creating the first-ever university virtual choir. More than a hundred have already participated and more videos are being submitted daily. See some of the video submissions on YouTube by searching "Cornell 150 Global Choir."

Here's how to be part of it: Go to 150.cornell.edu/participate/choir and follow the simple instructions for creating and uploading your video of you singing the alma mater. A compilation video, incorporating performances from laptops and smartphones around the world, will be made available to everyone in time for Charter Day Weekend 2015.

Help lift the chorus. Help make alma mater history. All together now!
