Ezra Update, Cornell's new monthly e-newsletter, debuts this month
On Jan. 29 look for a fresh new look -- and a new name -- for Cornell e-News, the monthly newsletter for alumni, parents and friends of the university published by the Cornell Chronicle in partnership with Alumni Affairs and Development (AA&D).
The newsletter, renamed Ezra Update, is a companion to Ezra, the university's quarterly news magazine, launched in fall 2008 and also published by the Chronicle in partnership with AA&D.
Every month Ezra Update will feature exclusive news stories from around campus, including Big Red Athletics, alumni, the colleges and Cornell's New York City campus, as well as interviews with Cornell newsmakers. It will also link to recent Chronicle stories, upcoming events and updates on the Cornell campaign.
"Ezra Update will continue the Cornell e-News role in keeping alumni and friends connected to news at Cornell," said Tommy Bruce, vice president for university communications. "Under its new name and more attractive design, Ezra Update also will introduce thousands of additional alumni to Ezra content -- not just the new stories in each monthly update, but also the features and contents of each issue of the quarterly magazine."
Ezra Update will be sent to nearly 200,000 alumni and friends of the university each month. To subscribe to Ezra Update, or to unsubscribe, visit http://www.alumni.cornell.edu/enewsletter/.
Ezra Update is edited by Joe Wilensky, managing editor of Ezra magazine, and was designed by Robin Zifchock, the graphic designer for Ezra magazine, and Zac Doob, a Web designer with the Office for Publications and Marketing.
